2008-03-20 MaerzMusik 2008 is over, and it has been a very good and inspiring time.
2008-02-20 I'm re-reading the book Steal this e-book! by Danny O Snow. It just came to my mind that I read this about four years ago, and I realised that it is still around. I invite you to also read this book, you can download it either from my site (pdf) or get it from lulu.com as a pdf or a print on demand paperback.
Some quotes from the original site U-Publish.com about the book:
Steal this e-Book! is an irreverent collection of articles and letters about electronic publishing and electronic rights that you are invited steal... legally!
[...]The book, first released in 2002, traced the evolution of e-Books in "ancient times" (1999 to 2002) as reported by Danny O. Snow in print and online publications such as BookTech Magazine, eBookWeb, Internet Publishing Magazine, and others.
[...]Now a little slice of history, rather than the current "State of the Art" in the fast-moving world of electronic publishing, Steal the e-Book! is an interesting little footnote in the history of the "printed" word.
2008-02-14 I'm excited, Cycling '74 writes:
As I'm sure you're all aware, we are quite busy getting ready for the release of Max 5, which we expect to release around the end of March.
[...]In the academic realm, Max/MSP will no longer be sold without Jitter. Instead, we will be offering Max/MSP/Jitter bundles at a reduced price. Schools, teachers, and students upgrading a copy of Max/MSP will get Jitter for free.
You will be eligible for a free upgrade to Max/MSP 5 (including Jitter) if you have:
